Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions
Tuition Type
One-on-one and Group class.
Tuition Location
Tutoring premise, online and hybrid.
Tuition Sessions
The lesson is one hour long, same time each week with all materials provided.
Fees
Fees are paid termly, in advance, are non-refundable and are due 2 (two) days before the first session takes place.
Payments
Each payment for tuition is made via a bank card such as direct debit and should be referenced to each Student (child) name. For example, if a Client has more than one Student (child), please make a separate payment with each Student name (e.g., John or Jane) as the reference.
Non-payment of Fees
The Tutor reserves the right to refuse Students access to online tuition while fees remain unpaid or if there is a persistent failure by the Client to pay the fees on time.
Cancellation by the Student
Please contact the Tutor directly giving as much notice as possible. The Tutor requires at least 48 (forty eight) hours' notice to cancel any sessions. The group tuition session fees are non-refundable; any lesson cancelled/missed will NOT be rescheduled due to the nature of the group or one-on-one tuition session. Access to the course materials from the missed lesson will be provided as will a video recording if available with some remote support from the Tutor.
Cancellation by the Tutor
If the Tutor cancels a session for any reason the Tutor will give the Client/Student and Group as much notice as possible. The Parties work together to reschedule the missed appointment at a time that suits the Parties or the fees will be deducted from the Client/Student’s next invoice.
Term Dates
Term dates generally follow the published school terms of the borough such as Greenwich, Lewisham, Dartford, Bromley and Croydon. Please discuss with the Tutor about the school terms if the Student is attending Academies, Faith, Independent and International schools as they often have their own term dates.
Length of the Agreement
The Tutor agreement is on a school termly basis where each term is made up of approximately 6 (six) to 8 (eight) weeks.
Termination of the Agreement
If the Client wishes to terminate the Agreement the Client must provide at least four weeks notice within the school term.
Student Behaviour and Expectations
The Client is responsible for ensuring the Student behaves appropriately during the lesson. Abusive or discriminatory behaviour towards the Tutor and/or other students is not acceptable. The Tutor reserves the right to cancel any bookings for Students whose behaviour is unacceptable, or where abusive language is used by either Clients or Students.
When online, the Student is expected to:
Log in on time, ideally five minutes before the lesson begins.
Attend from an open area such as the living or dining room, rather than a bedroom, whenever possible. This supports safeguarding best practices.
Keep their webcam turned on, unless there is a valid reason not to. This helps the tutor assess the student’s engagement and understanding.
Dress appropriately for a learning environment (e.g. no swimwear).
Ensure all equipment—such as computer, tablet, Apple Pencil, webcam, headphones, and microphone—is fully charged and working before the lesson starts.
Minimise distractions by muting mobile phones and turning off notifications.
Use an appropriate background, free from any images or items that could cause distraction.
Ensure the Client (parent or guardian) is within sight or sound of the student during each session to ensure their safety and support.
Contactable Hours
The Tutor can be contacted by email or by WhatsApp and all messages will be answered within 24 hours.

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018 and requires the Tutor to issue a privacy statement to the Client/Student regarding the data held about the Client/Student.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tutor will not accept any liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of their services or any errors or omissions in the content of the Tutor teaching and learning materials.
